hide and seek :) they love that, but make sure you cheat a bit so you can keep an eye on where he is at all times! :)

  1. you could go for a walk or take him swimming. if all else fails, most boys love video games. if you go to nick.com, they have a ton of free games you could play. good luck.

  2. I wouldn’t put an 8 year old boy on a trampoline with no adults around unless it’s got one of those safety net things. Playing outside is great for 8 year old boys, they like dirt and you could always encourage him to bring some of his favorite toys to share with you – and if you act amazed and surprised about what he brings, he will be even more enthusiastic to share his things with you which will make him easy to watch.

  3. 8 year olds are a lot to handle.
some games you could play hide and seek, tag, and other stuff you could ask him what his favorite t.v. show is and you could watch that.

  4. okay first of all do not take him on a trampoline for Christ sake it is too risky you are responsible for this kid and if he gets hurt its on you. you can always get some money and go to the dollar store and get some toys. there is also stuff like t.v. and you could go to the local park or play imaginary games like hide and go seek but always keep an eye on him. One more thing i don’t know where you live but where i am its really hot out maybe you should stay inside or go to a pool.

  5. Try something where he has to hit a target. For example, can he hit a tree with a frisbee (or ball or whatever)? Variations would be: how many hits out of 10 throws, increase distance to make it harder. Draw a chalk circle bullseye on the sidewalk/driveway and see how many points he can get in 5 throws. Put a couple pairs of folded up socks on the trampoline and see how many times he can jump without getting touched by the socks. Basically, boys that age love a challenge, love to show off their skills, and love to keep score. I’m a 3rd grade teacher and I use games like these as rewards and the boys love them.

  6. Let’s see I have an 8 year old and he likes to do the following: play with legos, play on the internet, play with his toys, he likes me to read him stories, he loves to get in the pool, drawing, pretend play, paint, eat snacks, visit family, look at bugs outside our house, etc

  7. Ask the boy! Eight year old boys are extremely creative and will come up with games to play. You will probably end up having a full out war with sticks as the good guys and stones as the bad guys before the day is out. ;)

  8. Kick a ball around with him. Got video games? he’ll love it if you play with him. Play catch, go for a walk, hide and seek, movies, color and i think the trampoline is a good idea! burn off some 8 yr old boy energy! just be sure to watch him so he won’t get hurt. Well there is a net… and have fun!

  9. He will LOVE the trampoline!
    Tag
    Hide and seek
    Basketball
throw a baseball or football back and forth
    race each other
play with pets if you have any
    play in the waterhose
throw water balloons at each other
if you have squirt guns, use those

8 year old boys are easy to satisfy outside! They will go find frogs, moths, etc. to passify themselves…
